It’s TUESDAY! That means it’s time for another #TuesdayTeamUp! Today, we are featuring Aaron‘s favorite local coffee shop – The Traveling Bean, owned by Kyle Burge. Before we get into the coffee shop, here is a little about the owner himself. Kyle married Ellen 4 years ago this month. They have two sons, Wyatt and Beck (pictured above) – aren’t they cute?! Kyle originally started as a traveling coffee shop – hence the name, The Traveling Bean. They opened their current location at the end of 2017 and have been serving excellent coffee ever since! When you purchase coffee from The Traveling Bean, know that this is the family you are supporting!
The Traveling Bean is located in Downtown Kernersville at 126 A S Main Street. We like to take our family for walks around Downtown, and we always make The Traveling Bean our first stop. If you know Aaron, you know he is grumpy until he gets his coffee! Sometimes we grab it to go, but we also enjoy sitting out on the patio or grabbing a table inside. While pets are not permitted inside the shop, you can sit on the patio with them and enjoy your drink! The next time you’re in Downtown Kernersville, stop by and give it a try.
One of the reasons we choose this coffee shop over others is the KID’S AREA! Honestly, most coffee shops are geared toward working individuals in need of a kid-free environment. The Traveling Bean has a more laid back vibe and welcomes kids. Ours love creating train tracks and channeling their inner artist by coloring on the chalk wall. If you’re a parent in NEED of a caffeine fix or a coffee date, it’s a great spot to go for a drink with kids in tow!
